Exquisitely colorful,

Strange and astonishing,

Such creatures in their abundant variety,

All adaptively and elegantly designed by the OmniLight of Supreme Compassion!

Note: The reference to design does not imply ex nihilo designed creation or designed creation out of nothing. Rather, as available examples of intelligent design by humans and other creatures suggest, it is a case of design achieved by a process of development. Ramalingam’s use of the word “தெருட்டல்” (fine-tuning) in other couplets is suggestive of this form of intelligent design by fine-tuning or development.
