என்றுமுள் ளதுவாய் எங்குமோர் நிறைவாய்

என்றும் விளங்கிடு மென்றனிச் சித்தே!

OmniLight Supreme Intelligence!

Note: This couplet is the first in the series of couplets on aspects of the Supreme Intelligence (Tamil: சித்து – Sitthu; Sanskrit: चित् or Chit) of OmniLight.

It is remarkable in its eloquent and rhythmic use of Tamil words beginning with the seventh vowel or “life letter” (உயிரெழுத்து) எ.

The Arutperunjothi Agaval is Ramalingam’s magnum opus of spiritual enlightenment poetry composed in 798 couplets in 1872. In later posts, I will offer commentaries on these couplets.
